Niche complements the work of Environmental Media by providing print companions to their award-winning video productions and exploring many of the regions and topics the company has documented in numerous video projects.
Niche oversees all aspects of creating print, online, and interactive media, including concept development; research, writing, and editing; production oversight, and distribution. Niche is currently working on the 2nd edition of North Carolina State Parks, to be published by UNC Press.
Bill Pendergraft and Ida Phillips developed Niche when they realized that there may be other people out there who find the journey as interesting as the destination.
